MG-SOFT Trap Ringer Professional Edition

Upgrading from Older Versions


Users who licensed Trap Ringer Pro. when Version 5.* was the current release, can use their existing license.key file also with Version 6.0 of Trap Ringer Profesional Edition.

To install the latest version of the software, proceed as follows:

  • Backup the license.key file.
  • Download the latest evaluation version of the software available from our download page.
  • Install the downloaded evaluation version of the software. The installer will prompt you for the folder containing the license.key file. Point to the folder to where you backed up the existing license.key, and the evaluation version of the software will turn into the licensed version.

Alternatively, if you have the latest evaluation version of the software already installed, you only need to copy the license.key file to the Trap Ringer's BIN folder and restart the application (including MG-SOFT SNMP Trap Service).

Customers, who licensed Trap Ringer Pro. when Version 4.* (or earlier) was the current version, and users who would like to migrate their existing Trap Ringer license to different Trap Ringer Edition, should contact MG-SOFT sales team for details on license renewal or migration.
